Attempting to replicate a substance using other substances which are not composed of the substance trying to be replicated, such that the process at a minimum appears as the other substance ( in similar fashion to how salt appears as sugar ).
This seems simple enough, and any creative person could attain some level of success with certain substances in question, but their is a more advanced science in this, because it is the more difficult attempt to replicate the behavior that is necessary for the complete work of this process.
This can be done by finding alternative means of depiction, which is the followed tool.
